Delaney, Holly. ‘The Life of an Artist: Central Saint Martins BA Fine Art’, 1 Granary, 1st December 2015
Born in 1993 in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire.
Lives and works in London.
‘Man makes plans and God laughs’, the artist makes plans and the object laughs. My practice deals with the failure of the object, or rather the failure of the artist to make the object, and finding the comedy within that failure. My works unfold in the same manner as a conversation in a pub, an interview, or a band rehearsal. My paintings, sculptures and video works stumble on their words, play bum notes and laugh at themselves when they fall or fail.
